What We Saw: SIX the Musical at Theatre Royal Sydney!
If you’re wondering how our night out at Theatre Royal Sydney went on October 25, 2026, let’s just say we had an absolute blast! From the moment we pulled up—making the most of how super convenient the carpark right next to the theatre is—to stepping inside where the team was so genuinely friendly, welcoming, and keeping everything spotless, the whole vibe set the stage for an unforgettable day.

The History & The Vibe
If you aren’t familiar with SIX the Musical, it started out as a fun student project at Cambridge University back in 2017 and has since turned into a massive global phenomenon. Watching it make its way down under to Australia has been incredible, and seeing it live right here in Sydney reminded us why everyone is so obsessed with these Tudor queens rocking out to modern pop beats.

What We Experienced Inside!
The show itself was pure, high-octane magic from start to finish. The energy was unreal, and a huge shoutout has to go to The Ladies In Waiting—the all-female onstage band whose music you didn’t just hear, but could literally feel vibrating right in your chest.

Right from the opening, Sarah Murr set the tone as Catherine of Aragon with fierce regal confidence, incredible stage presence, and powerhouse vocals that had everyone instantly hooked. Thalia Smith stepped into the role of Anne Boleyn as a swing—famously one of the hardest jobs in all of musical theatre—and delivered an amazing, effortless performance packed with charm and sharp vocals. Balancing out the energy, Cara Bessey served as the total emotional heart of the night as Jane Seymour, captivating the entire room with a gorgeous voice and stunning stage presence.

When Kadesa Honeyhill took over as Anna of Cleves, it was easy to see why she was the crowd’s favourite queen; she brought unmatched swagger, hilarious comedy, and had the whole audience roaring. Angela Brischetto followed up as Katherine Howard, bringing an amazing pop-star edge to the stage with a brilliant balance of vibrant choreography and deep emotional punch. Rounding out the night, Lorinda May Merrypor completely stole the show as Catherine Parr, delivering a standout performance filled with amazing talent and soulful vocals that earned one of the loudest ovations of the entire evening.

It was honestly such an amazing experience from start to finish!
